2019 Fire Safety Expo

On Saturday, May 18th, the Gurnee Fire Department will celebrate the 21st anniversary of the Fire Safety Expo by once again participating in in the day's activities! The event will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in Parking Lot G (near Floor & Decor) at Gurnee Mills.  Admission is free!

The Expo is presented by the Lake County Fire Chief's Association. More details about the 2019 Expo will be coming soon!

The event combines fire safety education with fun for the entire family. Features* of the day include:

  • Slide down the fire pole
  • Take a ride in a fire truck
  • K9 Presentation
  • Smokey the Bear
  • Seat Belt Convincer Roll Over Simulator
  • Enjoy great summer food!
  • Kids Safety Identification Booth - with FREE Fingerprinting
  • Special "Passport to Safety" for all kids under 10 yrs. old!
    (Available for the first 1,000 kids including 1 complimentary raffle ticket)
