In 2020, Mayor Hood started "Tom's Tours", visiting local businesses and showcasing their operations with brief videos posted on social media. Motivated by the desire to support Gurnee's business community, particularly during the challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic, the video tour has been very popular with residents. The success of our local businesses is a testament to the community and its commitment to thrive. As Mayor, Mr. Hood will continue "Tom's Tours", visiting businesses, hearing their concerns, answering questions, and sharing their stories with the community.
