Senior Services Serving the Village of Gurnee
The Village of Gurnee wants you to know that senior services exist for Gurnee residents through ElderCARE Lake County and the Warren Township’s Senior Center. They offer a wide variety of senior services to help every senior in need.
ElderCARE Lake County Services
Transportation to Medical Appointments
At a typical visit to provide transportation, an ElderCARE volunteer escorts you to their vehicle, takes you to your medical appointment, and returns you back home. ElderCARE also assists with drop-off and pick-up from lengthy appointments, such as dialysis. Please provide at least 10 days notice.
Do you need assistance getting to your grocery store? Access to healthy food is important. Through ElderCARE grocery shopping service, volunteers take your grocery list and make the trip to the store for you. You pay for the groceries, and the service is free.
Living alone can be challenging, especially when it’s tough to get out and interact with others. ElderCARE’s friendly visits services provides an opportunity for you to develop lasting friendships over a cup of tea or a game. You and your volunteer set a schedule that works for both of you.
