Seasonal Crew Member - Public Works - Summer 2025

Requirements:

The Public Works Department seeks candidates for the position of Seasonal Crew Member.   Work schedule is generally 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Rate of pay is $16.50 / hour.  

Duration of position is approximately from May - August; good for college students home for the summer.

Forestry Division: assists with landscape maintenance by mowing, watering, weeding, raking, planting, and providing general landscaping maintenance. Performs related job tasks and duties as requested or required.

Utility Division:  assists with water meter change outs; landscaping restoration.  Performs related job tasks and duties as requested or required.

Customer service orientation; ability to work on a team and independently; computer / iPad use; knowledge of general maintenance, construction, and landscaping techniques and standards; ability to work outdoors and perform physically strenuous work.

Must be at least 18 years of age by start date of employment, have a valid driver’s license and safe driving record. Employment is contingent on passing a background check.
