9/11 Mobile Exhibit at Gurnee Mills, May 13th - May 15th

On Friday, May 13, 2022 around 11:00 am, members of the Lake County Fire Chiefs Association will welcome the Tunnel 2 Towers 9/11 Never Forget Mobile Exhibit to Gurnee Mills Mall. The public is invited to participate and show your support by lining Gurnee Mills Ring Road as the escort arrives to town.

The 1,100 square foot Tunnel 2 Towers exhibit will be open to the public on
Saturday, May 14th from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm and Sunday, May 15th from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm. NYPD Firefighters who were on scene of 9/11 will be available to provide tours, answer questions about artifacts on the memorial, and provide first-hand accounts of what happened on September 11, 2001. For more information about the exhibit, download the event flyer and visit the Tunnel 2 Towers website at t2t.org.

The Fire Safety expo will be at parking lot E in Gurnee Mills on Saturday, May 14th from 10:00 am to 3:00pm.

In 2013, the Tunnel to Towers Foundation launched its 9/11 NEVER FORGET Mobile Exhibit; a tribute to all those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001, including the 343 members of the Fire Department of New York City (FDNY) who made the ultimate sacrifice. The high-tech, 83-foot tractor-trailer, which transforms into a 1,100 square foot exhibit, is a tool to further educate people across the country about the events of that tragic day.
