Winter Storm Advisory - January 18th, 2019

Weather forecasts indicate a winter storm approaching the NE Illinois area beginning Friday afternoon and in to Saturday morning. Gurnee Public Works will activate our Snow and Ice Control plan to prepare for the storm.

There are 11 designated snow routes covering all Village-owned roads.

The Illinois Department of Transportation, Lake County, and the Village of Gurnee each maintain roads within the Gurnee community. Warren Township Highway Department also maintains roads in unincorporated areas with Gurnee addresses (typically 5-digit).

Here is a breakdown of who-plows-what during a snow storm in Gurnee:
