Gurnee, IL – On January 4, 2019 at 1938 hours Gurnee Police were dispatched to the Comfort Inn, 6080 Gurnee Mills Circle East for a report of a shooting victim. Upon arrival, officers found a 42 year old male victim with a gunshot wound to his chest. He was conscious and alert. Officers began first aid on the victim while waiting for the ambulance to arrive. The victim was then transported to the hospital by ambulance.

Information provided by witnesses on scene was that the victim was shot while in the parking lot and the offender had fled the area in a vehicle.
