• US EPA Air and Radiation Director of Region 5 John Mooney provided a response to Lake County’s April 15, 2021 request for a health risk assessment and consultation. The ten page response is available at the link below.

The Lake County Health Department (LCHD) has provided an update on its website as of September 29^th regarding communication from the US EPA Region 5. On September 29, 2021, John Mooney, Director of the Air and Radiation Division at U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Region 5, responded to the April 14, 2021 letter from Lake County Board Chair Sandy Hart and Board of Health President Tim Sashko requesting immediate action on the completion of a health risk assessment and consultation.
