The Gurnee Police Department has been made aware of recent threats that have been posted to social media with statements to loot specific larger businesses in Gurnee.

Gurnee Police remain vigilant in protecting the citizens as well as the businesses and will continue to encourage civil and respectful assemblies.

Please be aware that some businesses have decided to close as a precaution to these threats, but at this time the Gurnee Police Department has not imposed a curfew or mandated any closings.
