At this time, the Village does not see any signs of continued increases in river levels and the threat of flooding is now subsided. Barring any changes, this will be the last flood update notification for this event.
Village staff will be monitoring levels throughout the weekend and we are prepared for a flood response should conditions change.
The Des Plaines River spills over its banks at approximately 7.0 feet, problems with roadway access along McClure Avenue, Emerald Avenue, and Kilbourne Road occur at approximately 8.5 feet.
