GURNEE, IL – Beginning on Monday, March 26^th at 6:00 a.m., the Village of Gurnee will be closing a section of Almond Road to allow for the installation of a water main.

This closure will take place between Bittersweet Drive and Washington Street. A detour will be posted to alert motorists of alternative routes during the closure.

The closure of Almond Road will be activated during daylight hours to facilitate the safety of village staff and contractors working on the water main installation. It is anticipated that Almond Road will be open to traffic overnight during the temporary closure.

Local traffic to the Presidential Drive and Aberdare Lane areas will have continued access during construction.

Almond Road will be reopened to traffic once the installation of the water main has been finalized, with completion anticipated by Friday, March 30^th.
