Holiday Reminder Waste Collection Delay and Office Closure: Due to the Christmas Holiday, if your garbage and recycling collection occurs on Thursday, December 25th, it will be delayed by one day. Additionally, Village Offices will be closed on December 24th and 25th (Christmas Eve and Christmas Day).

LEAF COLLECTION PROGRAM UPDATE: As most of the snow has melted, LRS will resume leaf vacuum services for the Village of Gurnee. Beginning next week, Monday, December 22nd, LRS will start on the east side of the Village. Once completed, crews will switch to the west side. They are anticipated to start the west side of the Village on Monday, December 29th. Please keep in mind that if it snows, leaf vacuum services will be delayed again.
To help ensure efficient collection, residents are strongly encouraged to break up leaf piles with a shovel or rake before their pickup week so the vacuum equipment can collect the leaves effectively. Additionally, free bagged leaf collection by LRS will be available through Thursday, January 15th.
