Waste Management will collect Christmas trees on the following dates:

Thursday, January 4, 2024
Wednesday, January 10, 2024
Thursday, January 18, 2024
Wednesday, January 24, 2024
Wednesday, January 31, 2024
 
In order for a tree to be collected, it must be placed at the curb or the edge of the street by 7:00am on the pick-up day. All lights and decorations must be removed. Failure to remove decorations or placing the tree in a plastic bag will result in the tree not being collected that week, and the resident will have to wait until the following week.
 
Trees placed out after 7:00am on January 31st will not be collected. For any questions, please contact Waste Management at (1-800) 796-9696.

Alternatively, trees may also be donated to the Lake County Forest Preserve (LCFP). Donated trees are chipped and used for trails and landscaping at forest preserves throughout Lake County. Details on how to donate can be found on LCFP's website at https://www.lcfpd.org/recycle-2023/.
