School Crossing Guards 2020


The Gurnee Police Department is seeking applicants for School Crossing Guards. Hours and schedule will be dependent on ‘return to school’ plans of Woodland District 50 and Gurnee District 56 and is subject to change.


Rate of pay is $15 / hour.  No prior experience is necessary; paid training and equipment is provided. 

Work is performed outdoors and in a variety of weather conditions, including exposure to traffic, rain, wind, snow / ice, hot and cold temperatures.  Vehicular traffic hazards also present in work environment.

Applicants selected for continuation in the process will be subject to an oral interview.  Any offer of employment is contingent on passing a background investigation and drug screen.
